This Polynesian manta tattoo prepared for Philipp incorporates several elements related to the ocean and to its protection, starting from the two tiki on the tips of the wings guarding the turtle in the middle, which has a braid for union and a lokahi representing balance and harmony between the world of men, of spirits, and of nature, surrounded by a compass and a sun.
Below it we placed Sea Shepherd´s crook and trident as they symbolize the efforts to keep this balance protecting nature.
On the right wing of the manta there is a trail of people, guided by a bigger one, symbolizing Philipp as a diving instructor (there are waves on top, and stepping stones nearby to show the things he teaches them).
The two chasing birds show support to the dear ones.
On the left wing there are a shark, two fish, and two swimming fins.
The tail of the manta has spearheads to symbolize strength and courage, and a line of birds for voyages.
