This Polynesian armband tattoo was prepared for Ana Luiza and it represents a personal journey followed with resilience (the warrior on top with spearheads above the row of birds), as well as triathlon.
Tenacity and resilience are symbolized by the hammerhead shark going along the path reaching a star (the goal to be achieved), with three tiki representing swimming, biking, and running, leading to the IronMan symbol shaped by spearheads (the warrior, strength and tenacity) between taro garlands (rite of passage) and protected by the all-seeing eye.
The lokahi symbol in the shark represents balance between the worlds of people, nature, and spirits, and there are mountains and waves along the path of Kamehameha (the challenging path that leads to success).
The stepping stones getting bigger along the path symbolize her achievements, which get bigger over time.
Fish symbolize prosperity.
