This Polynesian tattoo for the hand was designed for Jessica as a memorial tattoo to honor her older sister Kristin.

The two big koru (fern frond) on the back of the hand represent the two sisters, perfectly similar, with Jessica's 4 children represented by 4 smaller koru between them, as her sister was like a second mother to them.

The double spiral near the thumb and the braid symbolize their union, and the flowers represent femininity and all they lived together.

The manta represents beauty and freedom, and the lokahi symbol within the manta symbolizes Hawaii and unity with nature and with the world of spirits.
The star represents the importance of this.

The sun and spearheads symbolize Kristin's joyful and strong character.
